    ONLINE PAYMENT OF PARKING TICKETS IS NOT ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME
    Payment for parking ticket is between 8am and 4pm in person or over the phone with the police department.

    Winter Street Parking Regulations

    Winter street parking is in effect from December 1 to March 1, meaning no vehicles may be parked on any city street from 2:00 am to 5:00 am. (City Ord 7.03 (2)).

    Overnight Municipal Lot Parking

    To park overnight in one of the five municipal downtown lots you need to obtain permission by the Police Department at (262) 567-4401 or you need to purchase a monthly parking permit. The 2017 monthly parking permit fee is $25 plus tax and is available at the Police Department between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Permit parking is lot and vehicle specific and only one permit per vehicle owner is allowed.

    There are limited permit parking spaces in the municipal lots and they are issued on a first come, first served basis. (City Ord 7.03 (10)(c)).

    All downtown taverns have temporary parking passes for their patrons who prefer to leave their car in a municipal lot after bar hours. The pass must be visible on the driver's side windshield, the pass must be returned to the issuing tavern. The pass is only valid until 8:00 am that morning.

    The five municipal downtown lots are posted for specific time periods. Parking for longer periods may result in a parking fine.

    Sex Offender Residency & Registration

    The City of Oconomowoc has a municipal ordinance regarding residency for registered sex offenders. Some of the key points are listed below, but all citizens are encouraged to read the whole ordinance for specific questions and answers regarding registered sex offenders.

    Residency Restrictions

    • Establish a residence within a 1,000 feet of school, day care, shelter facility, treatment center, foster home, youth center.
    • Any facility used for
      • Athletic fields used by children
      • Public library
      • Public park, parkway, parkland park facility
      • Public playground
      • Public swimming area
      • Specialized school (gymnastics, dance, or music)
    • No registered sex offender may reside in the City of Oconomowoc, except under the following circumstances:
      • They did so prior to the ordinance taking effect or at the time their most recent offense

    OR

      • They were granted residency by the Appeal Board.

    Landlords Prohibited from Renting

    It is unlawful to rent to a sex offender if place is located within 1,000 feet of any of the above listed locations

    Prohibited from Participation in Halloween Activities

    • It is unlawful for sex offenders to participate in either directly or indirectly in the distribution of candy or any other items to children on Halloween.
    • Must remain indoors or away from residence minimum of one-half hour before scheduled trick or treat events to one-half hour after scheduled times
